Mix whole milk, heavy cream, cream cheese and sugar for the ice cream base, heating gently until the sugar dissolves. This rich and creamy mixture is the foundation for your butter cake ice cream, ready to be infused with additional flavours. Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to complement the butter cake’s flavor.
Once your base is prepared and cooled, churn it in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. As the ice cream nears its final stages of churning, gently fold in the chunks of homemade butter cake cubes, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the ice cream.
After incorporating the cake pieces, transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container. For an extra touch of luxury, swirl through additional melted butter mixed with a hint of sugar and salt, mimicking the irresistible flavor of butter cake topping.
