About:

Indulge in the irresistible blend of sweet and salty with our Salted Caramel Ice Cream recipe. This dairy-free and vegan delight is crafted with a rich base of coconut and cashew milk. This luscious dessert captures the decadent flavor of traditional caramel ice cream, reimagined for a vegan lifestyle without compromising on taste or creaminess.

1. Crafting the Vegan Caramel:

Begin by making a vegan caramel sauce, combining brown sugar, vegan butter, and coconut cream in a saucepan. Cook until the mixture achieves a golden amber hue and a thick consistency, then stir in a generous pinch of sea salt to create the perfect salted caramel. The use of coconut cream adds a subtle tropical note that complements the richness of the caramel.

2. Preparing the Creamy Base:

For the ice cream base, blend cashew milk and coconut milk to achieve a smooth, creamy texture that mimics the mouthfeel of traditional dairy. Cashew milk brings a natural sweetness and richness, while coconut milk adds body and a hint of coconut flavor, setting the stage for a truly indulgent ice cream.

3. Combining the Ingredients:

Once your vegan caramel is prepared, allow it to cool slightly before blending it with the cashew and coconut milk mixture. Add a splash of vanilla extract to enhance the depth of flavors, ensuring every scoop is bursting with the complex notes of salted caramel.

4. Chilling and Churning:

Chill the ice cream mixture thoroughly in the refrigerator. Once cold, churn it in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This crucial step introduces air into the mixture, resulting in a soft, creamy texture characteristic of premium ice cream.

5. Freezing to Perfection:

After churning, transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container, layering it with drizzles of additional caramel sauce and sprinkles of sea salt for an extra flavor punch. Freeze until it reaches your desired consistency, allowing the flavors to meld and the ice cream to firm up.

6. Serving Your Dairy-Free Creation:

Serve your Salted Caramel Ice Cream in elegant bowls or classic cones, garnished with a final drizzle of caramel and a light sprinkle of sea salt. This vegan ice cream is a fabulous treat for any occasion, offering a sophisticated dessert option that everyone can enjoy.
